 Getting the Moment
Hi! I am Sabrina; I am the main photographer & owner of PUR ELEMENTS photography, an Edmonton photographic company. Ever since I picked up my first camera with my Grandpa at the tender age of 3 (not that I knew how to use it), photography has truly been my passion. Equipped with creativity, sass and yes a camera, I would love the opportunity to work with you to capture that special moment, whether it be your engagement, special wedding day or maybe you are looking for a photographer because you are expecting or for your baby’s first pictures. Whatever the moment is, I would love to help make that time as special as possible and help to capture its true essence that can be looked on for years to come! I feel moments that are not rehearsed create the most sincere photographs and have been told I seem to have a knack for capturing these moments with a refined unique style.
Candid are truly a passion of mine and relish the opportunity to find cool locations, throw in dynamic lighting, a smile or two and create breathtaking imagery for you and yours.
Knowing that everyone has a different personal likes when it comes to photography whether it be photojournalistic, a storyboard wedding shoot, studio environment or outdoors on location I will work with you to find the style that best reflects who you are. I love to capture the romance, emotion, and excitement of weddings or engagements, the beauty of pregnancy or the first time a child can sit up on their own.
I constantly search, experiment and perfect my portraiture technique. Working with people, taking portraits, doing my own personal studies is the greatest joy of my work.
In an effort to continually refine my skills and technical knowledge I am also currently working towards obtaining a photography degree through the New York Institute of Photography.
At any given time I am always involved in a number of non-commercial projects that help me grow and mature as an artist. I approach every type of photography assignments as the fine art portrait projects - babies, bellies, fashion, wedding, corporate or maternity portraiture photography are all equally fascinating to me.
I am constantly amazed by a portrait's power to capture the whole essence of the person in just one frame, one momentary lapse of time. Portraits depict a story, conveying the charisma of the individual and capturing the mood of the moment.
